Take Two! Open Registration Rescheduled for November 23

Badge sales for Comic-Con 2025 are set to proceed in November following improvements made to the registration process.

Comic-Con 2025 Open Registration was originally set to take place on Saturday, October 26, 2024. However, shortly after the sale began, we experienced an anomaly that forced us to temporarily halt the badge sale. We know how disappointing this was, and we share in that frustration.

Our registration company has been working diligently to identify the root cause of the issue and implement a resolution. Their team has made critical infrastructure improvements with the goal of delivering a reliable registration experience. We are pleased to report that these changes are performing as expected, which have given us the confidence to move forward.

We are happy to announce that Open Registration will take place on Saturday, November 23, 2024.

For those who were affected by the disruption on October 26, it’s important to note that the rescheduled registration event will be a fresh start. This means all participants attempting to secure badges will go through the process again. There is no carryover from the earlier attempt and the queue placement will once again be randomized.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support!

What is the process for accessing the virtual waiting room?

The virtual waiting room will open at 8:00 AM PDT on Saturday, October 26. Visit our Member ID Portal between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM PDT to automatically enter the waiting room without any additional steps needed. If you’re randomly selected for a registration session during the badge sale, you will then be prompted to log in.

If you’re already logged in to your Member ID before the waiting room opens, simply click onOpen Registration” located in the top menu bar any time after 8:00 AM PDT.

IMPORTANT: Make sure you enter the virtual waiting room prior to 9:00 AM PDT to be placed in a randomized queue when the sale begins. If you enter the virtual waiting room for the first time after 9:00 AM PDT, you will be placed at the back of the line.

Is access to my Member ID account possible while I’m in the waiting room?

No, once you enter the waiting room, you won’t have the ability to navigate through your account details. If you’re buying on behalf of others, make sure to gather their Member ID and last name before the day of the sale (suffixes and special characters included, like a period, comma, tilde, etc.). If they’re unsure about whether their account’s last name has an accent or a hyphen, it’s crucial to check ahead of time as they won’t have access to their Account Dashboard for confirmation.

Why was my friend granted a session ahead of me, even though I joined the waiting room first?

No matter when you or your friend enter the waiting room, once the sale begins, all attendees who joined between 8:00 AM and 8:59 AM are placed in a randomized virtual queue. Entering the waiting room earlier does not increase your chances of securing a session. Entry to the waiting room does not guarantee you a badge or registration session.

How will I be notified when badges for a specific day are no longer purchasable?

If you’re selected for a registration session, only the days still available will be shown. Status updates will be regularly posted in the waiting room, keeping you informed about diminishing badge availability. However, there’s a slight chance that even if you’re chosen for a registration session close to the end of the sale, there might not be any badges left to purchase once you’re moved to a registration session. Your badge is only secured once your order is submitted. Keep in mind that daily badges may sell out while they are still in your cart, so it’s a good idea to finalize your purchase as soon as you’re ready. Once all badges are sold out, the waiting room will be closed for the current sale.

If you’ve gone through the instructions on our Open Registration page and made notes from our latest Toucan posts, you’re all set for the badge sale this Saturday. Great job! You’ve done good!

Not all eligible attendees will be able to purchase a badge during Open Registration. There are far more eligible attendees than available badges. Entry to the waiting room does not guarantee you a badge or registration session. We encourage you to bookmark Toucan – the official blog of Comic-Con and WonderCon, and follow us on Instagram, Facebook, and X for more up-to-date information regarding Open Registration.

PASSWORD CHECK

If it’s been a while since you’ve logged in to your Comic-Con Member ID account, be sure to check your access well before the badge sale. For Open Registration, you’ll be prompted to log in if randomly chosen for a registration session. Don’t risk missing out on badges because of a forgotten password!

CREDIT CARD/PAYMENT INFORMATION

To ensure a smooth checkout, log into your Member ID account before October 26 and save your credit card information. If selected for Open Registration, you’ll have 15 minutes to complete your badge purchase, and having your card pre-saved can save crucial time.

During checkout, you can use a pre-saved card or enter a new one, which will apply to all badges in your order. If you have more than one card saved to your account, you must select the pre-saved card you’d like to use for the entire order. If someone else buys your badge, their payment method will be used.

Follow the steps below to save your card before the sale.

EMAIL CHECK

If you purchase badges during Open Registration, an order acknowledgement will be sent to the email linked to each badge holder’s Member ID. Please log in before October 26 and check the email listed under your name in the upper left corner. If it’s outdated, update it in the “My Account Information” section.

WAITING ROOM EXPECTATIONS

On October 26, the virtual waiting room opens at 8:00 AM PDT. To enter, go to the Member ID Portal between* 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM PDT—no extra steps needed. If you’re logged in beforehand, click “Open Registration” in the top menu after 8:00 AM PDT.

Entry doesn’t guarantee a session, and not all members will be selected. The badge sale begins at 9:00 AM PDT, when everyone in the waiting room will be placed into a randomized queue. If selected, you’ll need to log in to your Member ID to continue. Only confirmed and verified Member IDs can access the sale.

*WARNING: If you arrive AT 9:00 AM PDT or later, you’ll be placed at the end of the queue.

STATUS MESSAGES

Stay in the loop with registration tips and real-time badge updates through the waiting room’s status messages. If you land a registration session, make the most of your 15-minute window! For live badge updates, be sure to follow us on Instagram and X too!

BROWSERS and DEVICES

  • Firefox (Latest Version)
  • Google Chrome (Latest Version)
  • Safari (Latest Version)
  • Microsoft EDGE (Latest Version)

To avoid technical issues, use only one browser on a single device per person during the badge sale. Using multiple browsers or devices can disrupt your session, and we cannot be responsible for any resulting problems. Please stick to the certified browsers listed to the left for the best experience.

The badge sale is not optimized for use on cell phones, iPads, or tablets, and Comic-Con cannot guarantee the expected behavior of the registration system when accessed via a mobile device. We strongly recommend using a laptop or desktop computer to participate in badge sales.

POWER SAVING SETTINGS

Make sure to adjust your computer’s power settings to stop your screen from going to sleep while you’re in the waiting room. If your screen does go idle and you’re removed, don’t panic. Simply return to the Member ID Portal using the same browser on the same device, and you’ll be placed right back in your original spot in the queue.

JAVASCRIPT AND COOKIES

Most modern web browsers have Javascript and Cookie features enabled by default, but we recommend double-checking your settings to be sure. It’s always a good idea to verify they’re activated as a precaution.

Key Things to Know When Buying for Others

Before you dive into the process of buying badges for others, keep these important points in mind:

  • Everyone you’re buying badges for needs to have a valid Comic-Con Member ID before the date of Open Registration.
  • If you’re selected for a registration session, you can buy badges for up to three people, as long as supplies last. If you’re buying for yourself, you can grab badges for two additional members. If you’re not purchasing a badge for yourself, you can buy for up to three other members.
  • You need the Member ID and last name of each person you want to buy badges for, exactly as it appears on their account. This includes suffixes and special characters.
  • Children ages 12 and under are not registered in advance. They can attend Comic-Con for free with a paying adult! Check out our Child Badge Policy to learn more.

Steps To Buy Badges for Yourself

If you want to attend Comic-Con with your friends, don’t forget to buy a badge for yourself! We recommend adding your badges to the cart first. If you’re selected for a registration session, you’ll be prompted to log in to your Member ID account. On the “Registrants” tab of the registration page, your account information will be auto-populated. Under “Registration Options,” you will select each day you’d like to attend (if available) and then press “Add to Cart.”

From there, select “Register Another Member” to purchase badges for others! Do not proceed to checkout until all badges have been added to your cart.

Steps to Buy Badges for Friends and Family

Ready to help your friends and family score Comic-Con badges? Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Get organized before the sale by collecting the Member IDs and last names of the people you’re buying for. Pay close attention to suffixes, hyphens, spaces, or accent marks in their last names—these details matter when entering information into the system.
  2. If you’re selected for a registration session, click on “Register Another Member ID” to start adding your friends. Be sure to include any special characters and suffixes in their last names to make sure you find the right account.
  3. When the Member ID and last name match, their name will appear in a green box. From there, you can choose badges from the available inventory and add them to your cart.
  4. Once badges have been added to your cart, click “Register Another Member” to keep adding more people until everyone is in your cart, then head to checkout. Once you’re there, you can edit badge selections, but you won’t be able to change the registrants.

Adding and Removing Days During the Sale

Once you’ve added someone to your cart, you can edit their badge selections directly from the cart.

If you need to REMOVE badge days, just click the red “X” next to the badge in your cart.

If you want to ADD badge days, click the “View Details / Manage Add-ons” button below the registrant’s name in your cart. You’ll be able to check the box next to the badges that still have inventory available. Then, click “Save.”

Badge Availability and Waiting Room Realities

Want more information? Check out our detailed Open Registration instructions HERE.

With more people eligible than there are badges available, the competition is tough! Keep in mind, entering the waiting room does not guarantee you a badge or a registration session, so it’s good to be prepared for the possibility of not securing one during Open Registration.

If someone selects all available badges for you during their registration session, and then you enter into your own registration session, you can no longer select badges for yourself since it has already been done so by a friend. You can, however, purchase badges for up to three other members if inventory is available.

Use your 15-minute session wisely, because inventory can sell out while you have badges in your cart. Your badge selections are not secured until you successfully process your order.

Badge-Buying Groups

As Open Registration gets closer, badge-buying groups are a common tactic, but they’re not without risks. If you’re considering joining one, here’s what you should know:

Group organization matters:

Having a well-organized and reliable group is key. Bad communication and disorganized groups can leave members without badges, so make sure your group has a solid plan. Stick to one browser on one device per person. If you try to use multiple browsers on one device, you risk being flagged for suspicious activity.

Coordinate purchases:

When multiple people in your group are selected for a registration session, stay in sync to avoid trying to buy the same badges for the same person. Once you’re at the “Process Order” page, changes to registrants aren’t possible, and mistakes can mean missed opportunities.

Trust is critical:

Only one payment method can be used for the entire badge order, and Comic-Con can’t step in to handle any payment issues between group members. Only the buyer is notified when a payment is declined, so stay in touch until their payment goes through. Be sure to trust your group completely. Sharing URLs will leave you empty-handed, and selling or scalping badges can result in all badges being canceled, including your own.

In short, choose your badge-buying group wisely, and make sure everyone is trustworthy and well-organized.

You secured a badge for yourself and a friend . . .

What comes next?

You’ve managed to secure a badge for yourself and a friend—congrats! Now let’s cover what you should expect next:

Order Acknowledgment Emails

As soon as your purchase is complete, each badge holder will get an order acknowledgment email confirming their badges. Keep an eye on your inbox (and your spam folder!) to make sure you receive this important confirmation. It includes information on badge shipping, badge pick-up, and refunds.

Badge Confirmation Emails

As the event approaches, we’ll send out badge confirmation emails to all attendees with a unique barcode. Bring your badge confirmation with you if you don’t receive your badge in the mail this summer. You can resend a copy of your badge confirmation from the “My Orders” section in your Member ID account at that time.

Payment Processing

When you check out, the total amount of your purchase will be marked as “Due Later” and payments will begin processing within 72 hours. Only the buyer will get an email to confirm if the payment went through successfully or if it was declined. If it’s declined, don’t worry—the buyer will be given the chance to resubmit payment for the entire order. The original method of payment will attempt to be charged every day for 30 days until the payment is processed successfully or a different method of payment is provided.

To be safe, we recommend checking your Member ID account one week after the badge sale—if there’s still a balance due, you can submit payment for your own badges via the “My Notifications” tab of your Member ID account.

Not all eligible attendees will be able to purchase a badge during Open Registration. There are far more eligible attendees than available badges. Entry to the waiting room does not guarantee you a badge or registration session.

SAVE THE DATE!

Comic-Con 2025 Open Registration is set for October 26, 2024! Be ready to enter the virtual waiting room before the badge sale begins at 9:00 AM Pacific Daylight Time (PDT). The waiting room opens at 8:00 AM PDT, so you have just under an hour to arrive.

Stay updated through our official channels: Comic-Con Member ID emails, Facebook, Instagram, X, and Toucan – the official blog of Comic-Con and WonderCon.

WHAT

do I need for Open Registration?

Get ready for Open Registration by making sure you have a Comic-Con Member ID account. New to Comic-Con? Create your Comic-Con Member ID in advance, well before the badge sale on October 26.

Existing members should verify that your account details—name, password, email, and payment info—are current.

Decide which days you want to attend, whether it’s all four days plus Preview Night or just specific individual ones. If you’re selected for a registration session after some days sell out, have a backup plan. Remember, if your payment method isn’t saved in your Member ID account, bring your credit/debit card to the sale.

If you plan on purchasing badges for others, you’ll need their Member IDs and last names exactly how they’re displayed in their accounts. If they have a special character in their last name or use a suffix, it must be included or else the system will not recognize the account you are trying to purchase for.

Badge Prices

What do they cost?

BADGE TYPEADULTJUNIOR*U.S. MILITARY/SENIOR*
Preview Night$61.00$31.00$31.00
Thursday$80.00$40.00$40.00
Friday$80.00$40.00$40.00
Saturday$80.00$40.00$40.00
Sunday$60.00$30.00$30.00
All purchases are subject to a $15 handling fee per member.

* Children (12 and under) are free with a paying adult. Juniors (ages 13 -17) pay the reduced junior prices. Active-duty military with ID and seniors (ages 60 years and older) pay the reduced U.S. Military/Senior price. The Military/Senior pricing does not extend to military veterans and dependents. Kindly ensure that your Membership Type is set correctly to enable access to the reduced Junior, Senior, or Military rates for payment.

Children who were 12 or younger on July 31, 2024, may attend Comic-Con 2025 for free with a paying adult, while those who were 13 by July 31, 2024 must have their own Comic-Con Member ID to purchase a badge.

WHO

is eligible?

Comic-Con 2025 Open Registration is open to the general public! Anyone with a valid and confirmed Member ID can participate.

To participate in Open Registration, please make sure ahead of time that you know your password and can log in to your Member ID account, or create your Member ID today if you don’t have one!

Anyone you wish to purchase badges for must also meet the same eligibility requirements.

Where

is Open Registration?

It will be held in our Member ID Portal where the Queue-it virtual waiting room will be enabled one hour before the sale begins. Around 9:00 AM PDT, everyone in the waiting room will be sorted into a randomized queue. If you’re moved into a registration session, you’ll have 15 minutes to complete your badge purchase.

Please verify that you know your account’s password ahead of the sale! If you’re selected for a registration session during Open Registration, you’ll be prompted to log in to purchase badges.

If it’s been a few years since you participated in one of our badge sales, you’ll notice it looks a little different! It’s now hosted by Configio, which offers an improved registration experience for our prospective attendees.

Friends-

Can I buy for them?

Yes! You can purchase badges for up to three people, including yourself. However, everyone you are purchasing for must also have a Member ID account. You’ll need their Member ID and last name as it appears on their Member ID accounts (including special characters, suffixes, and punctuation, if applicable).

Keep an eye on our Toucan blog in the following week for information on how to purchase for friends or family.

Child Badges-

How do they work?

Children ages 12 and under are free with a paid adult! We’re proud to offer one of the most generous child badge policies in the industry. So bring your kiddos and start making memories at our next Comic-Con. Click here for more information on our Child Badge Policy.

Juniors (ages 13-17) must have their own unique Member ID account, separate from their guardian or parent, to participate in Open Registration or have a badge purchased for them during the sale.

If they were at least 13 years old on July 31, 2024, they must have their own Comic-Con Member ID created in order to have the chance to purchase a badge for Comic-Con 2025.

If your child was age 12 or under on July 31, 2024, they do not need a purchased badge for Comic-Con 2025. They may attend as a child for free as long as they are accompanied by a paying adult.

Am I Guaranteed

a badge?

Participating in Open Registration does not guarantee you a badge, regardless of when you enter the waiting room. Due to high demand, there are more eligible attendees than there are available badges.

Entry to the waiting room at any time does not guarantee you a badge or registration session. If you do get selected for a session, you can help make the process go more smoothly by reading all Open Registration information carefully ahead of time and by having your personal information ready on the day of the sale.

How can I stay up-to-date on new information?

Stay connected with us across all the major social media platforms: Instagram, Facebook, X , and Toucan – the official blog of Comic-Con and WonderCon. We’ll be serving up vital information all the way up to the sale.

Follow-Up Questions

Still not sure about a few things? See if your question is answered below!

What is the process for accessing the virtual waiting room?

The virtual waiting room will open at 8:00 AM PDT on Saturday, September 21. Visit our Member ID Portal between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM PDT to automatically enter the waiting room without any additional steps needed. If you’re randomly selected for a registration session during the badge sale, you will then be prompted to log in.

If you’re already logged in to your Member ID before the waiting room opens, simply click on “ Returning Registration ” located in the top menu bar any time after 8:00 AM PDT.

If you’re buying on behalf of others, make sure to gather their Member ID and last name before the day of the sale (special characters included, like a period, comma, tilde, etc.). If they’re unsure about whether their account’s last name has an accent or a hyphen, it’s crucial to check ahead of time as they won’t have access to their Account Dashboard for confirmation.

Why is my friend in the waiting room for Returning Registration even though they’re not eligible?

The waiting room for Returning Registration serves as a traffic management system during the sale period. It’s designed to accommodate everyone who accesses our Member ID Portal around that time. While unqualified individuals might find themselves in the waiting room, only those who qualify for Returning Registration will be included in the randomized queue for badge sales. In the event of reduced traffic, ineligible members in the waiting room will be redirected back to their Account Dashboard.

Your badge is only secured once payment is completed. Keep in mind that daily badges may sell out while they are still in your cart, so it’s a good idea to finalize your purchase as soon as you’re ready. Once all badges are sold out, the waiting room will be closed for the current sale.

If you’ve gone through the instructions on our Returning Registration page and made notes from our latest Toucan posts, you’re all set for the badge sale this Saturday.
Great job! You’ve made us proud.

Not all eligible attendees will be able to purchase a badge during Returning Registration. There are far more eligible attendees than available badges. Entry to the waiting room does not guarantee you a badge or registration session. We encourage you to bookmark Toucan – the official blog of Comic-Con and WonderCon, and follow us on Instagram, Facebook, and X for more up-to-date information regarding Returning Registration.

Returning Registration: A Prep Guide

Prepare yourself for Comic-Con 2025 Returning Registration with these tips!

N. Watkins © 2023 SDCC

As Comic-Con 2025 Returning Registration approaches on September 21, ensure you’re fully prepared for a smooth experience both in the waiting room and, if you’re randomly selected, during your registration session.

Explore our prep checklist below, and make sure to head over to our Returning Registration page for further details.

Password Check

If you haven’t logged in to your Comic-Con Member ID account in a while, please make sure you can access your account well ahead of the badge sale. If you’re eligible for Returning Registration, you will need to log in if you’re randomly selected for a registration session. You don’t want to miss out on your opportunity to purchase badges because you forgot your password!

email check

If you’re able to purchase badges during Returning Registration, an order acknowledgement email will be sent to the email address associated with your Member ID account. Please log in to your Member ID account before September 21 and review the upper left corner under your name. If your email is outdated, you can easily update it in the “My Account Information” section.

Credit Card Information

For visual guidance in saving your card information, follow the steps below:

To make sure that your checkout process is effortless, we recommend you go into your Member ID account before September 21 and save your credit card information ahead of the sale. If you participate in Returning Registration and are selected for a registration session, you will have 15 minutes total to complete your badge purchase. Having your credit card information pre-saved is ideal and could save you precious time.

During checkout, you’ll be able to select a pre-saved payment method or enter a new credit card, and it will be used to purchase all badges included in your order. If someone purchases a badge for you, the buyer’s selected payment method will be used.

Waiting Room Expectations

On September 21, the virtual waiting room opens at 8:00 AM Pacific Daylight Time (PDT). To participate in the badge sale, arrive at the Member ID Portal between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM PDT to enter the waiting room—no additional steps required.

If you’re already logged in before the waiting room opens, click “Returning Registration” in the top menu bar after 8:00 AM PDT. Entry doesn’t guarantee a session, and not all members will be selected.

The badge sale will begin at 9:00 AM PDT. At that time, everyone in the waiting room will be moved into a randomized queue. If you’re randomly selected for a registration session, you’ll be prompted to log in to your Member ID account. Eligibility is verified with your Member ID—If your Member ID is not eligible to participate in Returning Registration, you will not be able to access the badge sale.

Certified Browsers

The Queue-it waiting room and badge registration system have undergone testing across a range of web browsers.

For optimal performance, please ensure that your browser is updated to the latest version by September 21.

The following browsers have been extensively tested and are recommended for the best results:

  • Firefox: Latest Version
  • Google Chrome: Latest Version
  • Safari: Latest Version
  • Microsoft Edge: Latest Version

Please note that if you choose to use a browser that is not included in the list above, we cannot guarantee the same level of performance and reliability.

Electronic Devices

We highly recommend using a laptop or desktop computer for badge registration. The registration system is not optimized for use on cell phones, iPads, or tablets, and Comic-Con cannot guarantee the expected behavior of the registration system when accessed via a mobile device.

JavaScript and Cookies

In the majority of contemporary web browsers, these features are typically enabled by default in your configuration. However, as a precaution, we strongly recommend verifying that they are indeed enabled.

Power-Saving Settings

To ensure your computer remains active during your stay in the waiting room or registration process, please adjust your computer’s settings to prevent the screen from entering sleep mode prematurely. In the event that you are unexpectedly removed from the waiting room due to your computer going idle, don’t fret. Return to the Member ID Portal using the same browser as you were before to be placed back into the same position in the queue.

Don’t Refresh

Resist the urge to refresh your browser! The Queue-it waiting room is designed to automatically refresh every 30 seconds. Manually refreshing your browser while in the waiting room could lead to technical issues that are out of our control.

Fair Play Reminder

Please do not attempt to cheat the system. Sharing waiting room information or URLs may lead to removal from the registration queue and cancellation of associated transactions. Dishonest practices, whether during registration or resale, can result in cancelation of all badges in the order, including yours.

Voluntary Information:

Update Birth Year

While not mandatory, sharing your birth year under “My Account Information” could help us enhance your Comic-Con experience. As a nonprofit organization, this valuable input often leads to grants, exciting panel guests, new opportunities, and an overall improved event tailored to our attendees.

Buying for Friends? Your Guide to Returning Registration

Comic-Con 2025 is better with company! Here’s everything you need to know about purchasing badges for others.

C. Machado © 2024 SDCC

As Comic-Con 2025 Returning Registration nears, the question on everyone’s mind is: Can I buy badges for my crew? Can I buy badges for my family?

Yes, but only if they’re eligible too. Each person must have bought attendee badges for Comic-Con 2024 and didn’t request a refund to qualify for Returning Registration.

Eligible participants are able to purchase for up to three (3) eligible people. Whether you’re included in that allotment of three, or you purchase solely for three other people (not including yourself), you will be able to purchase badges for friends. But, keep in mind that everyone you are purchasing for MUST also be eligible to participate in Returning Registration. You will need their valid and confirmed Comic-Con Member ID, their last name exactly* as it appears on their Member ID accounts (special characters and accents included), and the days they would like to attend.

*PRO TIP: If you are purchasing badges for others, have them log in to their Member ID account ahead of the sale and send you a screenshot of their Member ID and last name so you don’t run into any issues.

HOW TO PURCHASE FOR YOURSELF AND/OR OTHERS

With the Member IDs and last names of the people you want badges for, let’s go through the process step by step:

  1. On September 21, you will need to visit the Member ID Portal to enter the Queue-it waiting room between 8:00 AM–9:00 AM Pacific Daylight Time (PDT).
  2. The sale will begin promptly at 9:00 AM PDT. If you are randomly selected for a registration session, you’ll be prompted to log in. Then, if:

    • you are including yourself in that group of three: located at the bottom of the page, under “Registration Options”, you will select each day you’d like to attend (if available) and then press “Add to Cart.”
    • you are buying for other people: you must click the “Register Another Member ID” tab, enter their Member ID and last name, and press “Search.” From there, if they are eligible, you will be able to select the days they would like (if available) and add them to your cart.

REMEMBER: Badges cannot be transferred. You cannot purchase a badge for someone under your own Member ID to transfer to another account after the sale. After all selections have been made for you and/or your friends, head to checkout and into the payment portion of the process where your credit card and billing information will be needed.

BADGE INVENTORY

If someone selects all available badges for you during their registration session, and then you enter into your own registration session, you can no longer select badges for yourself since it has already been done so by a friend. You can, however, purchase badges for up to three other eligible members if inventory is available.

Use your 15-minute session wisely, because inventory can sell out while you have badges in your cart. Your badge selections are not secured until you successfully process your order.

Want more information? Check out our detailed Returning Registration instructions HERE.

PAYMENTS AND CONFIRMATIONS

Only one form of payment can be submitted with your order. If you’re purchasing for others, make sure to work out payment details ahead of time! Comic-Con can not intervene if you purchase a badge for someone and they don’t pay you back.

When you check out, the total amount of your purchase will be marked as “Due Later” and your payment will be processed within 72 hours. An Order Acknowledgement email will be sent immediately after the order is submitted. We will begin processing credit cards, and an email notification will be sent to the buyer when payment is processed successfully. No matter when you purchased your badge during Returning Registration, everyone will receive their individual badge confirmation to the email associated with their Member ID account as we get closer to the event.

If the payment submitted for your group’s badge order is declined, the buyer will receive an email notification with an opportunity to submit a different method of payment. Your original method of payment will attempt to be charged every day for 30 days until the payment is processed successfully or a different method of payment is provided.

CHILDREN

Children ages 12 and under can attend Comic-Con for free with a paying adult and cannot be registered in advance. If you successfully purchase a Comic-Con 2025 badge, you will be able to pick up a child badge on-site at the event. To determine if your child qualifies for a child’s badge or is now considered a junior who needs their own account to participate in badge sales, please head to our Child Badge Policy page to learn more.

Not all eligible attendees will be able to purchase a badge during Returning Registration. There are far more eligible attendees than available badges. Entry to the waiting room does not guarantee you a badge or registration session.

What You Need to Know About Comic-Con 2025 Returning Registration

Navigate Comic-Con 2025 Returning Registration like a pro with our must-read guide, with key dates, eligibility insights, and top tips.

when

is Returning Registration?

Comic-Con 2025 Returning Registration has been set for September 21, 2024! Keep an eye on our official channels for updates: Comic-Con Member ID emails, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Toucan – the official blog of Comic-Con and WonderCon.

WHAT

is Returning Registration?

Comic-Con 2025 Returning Registration is the first of two attendee badge sales. It’s exclusively for those who attended Comic-Con 2024 with a paid attendee badge. The process involves a randomized virtual waiting room.

(Please read the “Who is Eligible?” question below.)

WHO

is eligible?

Returning Registration is open to all Comic-Con 2024 paid attendees. To verify your Returning Registration eligibility:

  1. Log in to your Comic-Con Member ID account
  2. Go to your Account Dashboard.
  3. Look for “Eligibility: ✔ Comic-Con 2025 Returning Registration” under your name, Member ID, and email.

Who is NOT Eligible?

The following member types are not eligible for Returning Registration and will have separate registration dates:

  • First-time attendees
  • Professionals
  • Guests of professionals (paid or complimentary)
  • Exhibitors (and exhibitor-purchased attendee badges)
  • Program participants
  • Retailers
  • Volunteers
  • Staff
  • Complimentary passes
  • Press

WHERE

is Returning Registration?

Returning Registration takes place in our Member ID Portal where the Queue-it virtual waiting room will open one hour before the sale begins at 9:00 AM PDT. Hosted by Configio, we’ve worked hard on an improved registration experience for all of our prospective attendees.

Can I Buy Badges for Friends?

Yes! You can purchase badges for up to three people, including or excluding yourself. Everyone you are purchasing for must also be eligible to participate in Returning Registration. You’ll need their Member ID and last name as it appears on their Member ID accounts (including all special characters and punctuation in their names, if applicable).

Check our Toucan blog next week for a special post on badge buying for friends or family.

(Please read the eligibility questions above to determine your friends’ eligibility and encourage them to check their Member ID accounts.)

How do Child Badges Work?

Children (age 12 and under) are free with a paying adult! You may register up to two (2) children per paid adult attendee on-site. We’re proud to offer one of the most generous child badge policies in the industry. So bring your kiddos and start making memories at our next Comic-Con!. Click here for all information on our Child Badge Policy.

To accommodate the transition from child (age 12 and under) to junior (age 13-17), we have set a static date to determine who is considered a child for Comic-Con 2025.

  • If they were at least 13 years old on July 31, 2024, they must have their own Comic-Con Member ID created in order to have the chance to purchase a badge for Comic-Con 2025.
  • If your child was age 12 or under on July 31, 2024, they do not need a purchased badge for Comic-Con 2025. They may attend as a child for free as long as they are accompanied by a paying adult.

Am I Guaranteed a Badge?

Participating in Returning Registration does not guarantee you a badge, regardless of when you enter the waiting room. Due to high demand, there are more eligible attendees than available badges.

Can I Participate in Open Registration?

If you have a valid and confirmed Member ID, you are eligible to participate in Comic-Con 2025 Open Registration. Your participation in Returning Registration will not impact your eligibility for Open Registration.
